Rules and Power Limits

Engagement Distances

At Polson Airsoft we use similar power limits to all other sites in our area, they are:

Auto Weapons, Shotguns and Pistols - 1.14j Minimum full auto distance of 10m, anything lower use a sidearm or switch to single shot.

DMR / Semi-Only Weapons - 1.88j
Minimum engagement distance of 20m, anything lower use a sidearm.

Bolt Action Snipers - 2.32j
Minimum engagement distance of 30m, anything lower use a sidearm.

All weapons will be tested before gameplay and HPA regulators will be tournament locked. If your weapon fails testing it will not be allowed on the field.

  1. Take your hits - Airsoft is an honesty sport, when shot loudly shout “HIT” and put your hand in the air. Once dead follow the respawn rules of the game mode you are playing. If a player is not taking their hits, do NOT call them out. Report them to the Marshall and we shall deal with it.

  2. No blind firing - Blind fire is when you cannot see where you are shooting, such as pointing your replica over a piece of cover or around a corner and shooting without looking down your sights. This results in you not being able to see where you are shooting and can cause injuries.

  3. Keep the safe zone SAFE - No magazines shall be inserted into replicas in the safe zone and no dry firing shall take place in the safe zone.

  4. Keep your eye protection on - in the game zone under no circumstances shall you remove your eye protection, if your eye pro falls off shout “CEASE FIRE” as loud as you can and bury your face into the floor and keep it as such until a Marshall deems it safe. If you have a problem with your eye protection please approach a Marshall and they will assist you.

  5. Dead players tell no tales - When you are hit, do not give any information whilst dead. This includes:

    • Telling your teammate where you were shot from / the position of the enemy.

    • Pointing where you were shot from / the position of the enemy.

    • Telling your teammates to get behind cover.

If you receive any questions whilst dead, the best response is “I can’t say, I’m dead”.

  6. Pyrotechnics / Pyro - Pyro can be purchased onsite, only over 18’s will be allowed to purchase / use Pyro. If a Pyro goes off it has a 5m kill radius. No homemade Pyro is allowed onsite, only Pyro from reputable companies. If you have any questions consult a Marshall.

  7. Site Shouts - Any player can use these shouts, if you hear them then please pass them on.

    • Cease Fire - A cease fire is called when a safety issue on the field needs the game to be stopped. When this is called, immediately make your weapons safe by removing the magazine and stay exactly where you are. Do not resume gameplay until Marshalls say to.

    • Fire Fire Fire - Fire Fire Fire is used when a fire is discovered on the field, Under 18’s should not attempt to put out a fire.

  8. Substance Policy - We do not allow any alcohol or drugs onsite as well as anyone who is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

  9. No Mesh Eyepro - We do not allow mesh eyepro on site due to the safety problems they present and the BB fragments making their way through the holes. The only exception to this is if you wear glasses underneath the mesh eyepro and have it assessed by a Marshall to ensure the safety.
